With its superb sandy beaches Croyde is home to one of the best surfing beaches in the world as well as beauty, charm and magnetism which many people are drawn to time and time again.
With its quaint village and its variety of shops, bars and pubs it is a stones throw from this spectacular beach which faces the powerful Atlantic Ocean and creates a backdrop for surfers, swimmers and visitors alike.
This surfer’s dream stretches for 800 metres and and is fringed with sandy dunes and glistening rock pools and is encased with awe-inspiring views towards Baggy Point in one direction and Saunton in the other. It is no wonder that this beauty is recognised within the North Devon Coast Area Of Outstanding Beauty.
As a photographer my favourite time here is during April and May when it is slightly quieter or during the Winter when the powerful surf echoes along the beach and the surfers ride the waves and enhance their skills.
Whether you start the day with a sunrise or end it with a sunset or just walk along the sandy beach.
